Welcome to Porfirio's Italian Market & Cafe, an Italian market, caterer, and wholesale Italian foods company serving the greater Princeton, Philadelphia, and Trenton areas. Based in Hamilton, New Jersey, we have been making our own homemade pasta and selling imported Italian foods since 1964. Most folks in the area know us for our delicious food, but we also sell our boxed, canned, and other imported Italian goods on a wholesale level! A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT PORFIRIO'S ITALIAN MARKET & CAFE

In 1964, Chef John Porfirio left the restaurant world and started making fresh pasta to sell to his neighbors in the Italian section of Trenton, Chambersburg. Along with making fresh pasta he added traditional Italian dishes, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, meatballs, and sauces. Porfirio's Italian Foods became a staple in the neighborhood. Our ravioli, manicotti, stuffed shells, gnocchi, and cavatelli were on tables every Sunday and soon our specialties were on tables any day of the week. As we could foresee the less time in the kitchen life our store added a full line of imported products from Italy, cheeses, meats, oils, vinegars, candies, cookies and plenty of canned goods for the at home cook. As the third generation started, Porfirio's starting selling to many local restaurants. Keeping wholesale in Trenton, and making the retail a priority, a second store was opened in 2002 in Hamilton. This bright new Italian Market added prepared foods along with a full deli section and an expanded line of Italian products.
